Week 7: Organizational Culture Analysis James Matthews DeVry / Keller Graduate School April 20, 2025 Introduction It is incredibly important to find an organization whose culture matches your own both for personal success and the effectiveness of the team as a whole. Recently I took an organizational culture quiz via Leadership IQ to get a better sense of the environment that I work in every day. My organization scored Social Culture, which focuses on collaboration, spontaneity, and relationships. This exercise was an eye-opener for me in terms of understanding how our values, attitudes and styles of leadership impact not just how we work together, but how we embrace change and pursue a better future. In this reflection, I am going to share what I learnt from the quiz, which type of culture I think bests suits fast pace environments, and how our current culture encourages continuous improvement. 914400309750Quiz Results: Reflection on Organizational Culture I learned so much about how my workplace operates and why certain things feel the way they do from the organizational culture quiz from Leadership IQ. According to my results, I currently work in a Social Culture which is very logical and aligns with my career path. We have a relaxed, team-focused and relationship-oriented work environment. There is a human element in the way we interact, the way we work together and the way we support one another. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, and there is very little ego around roles or titles. That sort of environment has always made me feel more comfortable giving ideas and asking questions. According to the quiz results the dullest thing about me in a social culture is that a line can be drawn much community simple between personal and professional relationships I thought at the time that that would cause complications, but in truth, it’s led to building stronger connections. I’ve made awesome friendships with my coworkers, and when I know they have my back, it makes me feel more inspired and supported.
