Benadryl OTC 25mg, take one tablet every 6 hours as needed for itching. 3. Suggested consults/referrals: No referral needed at this time. 4. Client education: She should be given information on contact dermatitis and possible triggers because avoiding triggers is a goal of treatment (Dickel, 2023). Education on each medication is important so that she adheres to them appropriately. Apply cool compress to affected area for comfort. Take oatmeal baths which can have anti- itch properties and help moisturize the skin (Pazyar et al., 2013). Refrain from scratching as much as possible. Educate to go to ER if she has any symptoms like difficulty breathing (Cleveland Clinic, n.d.)., fever, purulent drainage, or other signs of infection. 5.
