Thesis Statement It’s important to have confidence while speaking in public or presenting, I have a few different steps that you should be able to achieve that. I. Introduction When speaking in public or presenting, it’s natural that we tend to get nervous to the point where it becomes noticeable. Before we present in public, we should practice by gaining confidence, there could be several reasons why we get nervous while speaking in public. Being mindful of our tone, body language, and looks are all important when we are in front of audience because they’re paying attention. Therefore if they see that the speaker is confident with what is being said, the audience will be more interested. Communicating verbally with confidence in front of an audience, maintaining strong eye contact and displaying positive body posture while presenting. II. Body A. Practicing before a speech and receiving feedback is the main key to developing a good speech while presenting. Before a speech or presentation it is helpful to gather a small group of people rather it’s friends or family and practice in front of them and ask for their feedback. This will help to avoid any confusion while presenting, also the audience will be concentrated on what is being said and not looking getting confused due to the speaker that’s stopping to read or think about what they will say next. 4 mistaken by something else. By feeling confident, your body language will reflect your behavior which is important in any presentation.(John,2010). III. Conclusion It is important to know your audience, it allows you to focus on the message. Using variation in your tone of voice, sight is evidence that will help stay focused what your saying to your audience. Having all your information ready, helps strengthen the points that is being delivered to the audience. With this information, creating a draft or record yourself while practicing will help you become ready and confident during your speech. And receive feedback from from people in the room while practicing, to improve on any problem.
