DO YOU TRUST YOUR DATA? 2 Abstract This is a full-blown case covering what today's companies face with data analytics and what it does for them in real-world terms - how it makes them work better so that their business operations are more profitable and so that they see strategic directions and paths for innovative new value in business. This tale of the changing world of work is testament not only to the types of competences necessary for prospective data professionals but also the competences in demand in 2030 – by which point it’s estimated that one-third of our working hours across the globe will be spent working in tandem with automation. Facilitating forward momentum with data analytics as a super-tool for a career in our information age: topics such as approaches to analyzing data, governance, privacy, compliance, and ethical considerations would all be addressed. As corporations use data more extensively to make their business run more efficiently, to recognize trends and to forecast, the number of workers who require skills in analysis, governance, compliance, and automation will explode. Analysis, understanding, and use of data is already a condition for business success in a data economy that we now live in. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate how data analytics enables the gap between theory and practice to be narrowed where the management of organizations can have information given to them when they need it so that they are able to make the appropriate strategic decisions in a timely fashion. Some of the reasons are that humans err when they make false assumptions, type things in wrong, or pull from sources that aren’t trustworthy; technical issues can involve incorrect algorithms, sensors that do not function, or files that are corrupted; outdated input is any information that is not correct anymore because it has not been updated; and visualizing certain groups or points of view, and if they’re not being sampled, the picture might not be accurate. 2. What can a business do to ensure that data is correct? To ensure that data is correct businesses can take the approach of creating data governance frameworks, which involves establishing a set of rules that explain who has ownership of the data, who can use it, and how it should be looked after. Another avenue to ensure data is correct is through the use of validation rules to search for problems as soon as data is entered or converted. In addition, periodic audits will examine the quality and relevance of data within and outside the boundaries of the organization. Another means of ensuring data correction is to take the approach of investing in education through educating people across the departments in data literacy. 3.
