This is a great company to do an innovative project on while the innovation of drones have come a long way since 2014. We will be digging deeper into the problems Zipline has gone through or yet to face also while providing a solution to their upcoming problems. The innovation idea is to use technology to improve healthcare delivery in developing countries. This can be done by using Drone technologies to provide deliveries to very remote areas that do not have immediate resources. Project Plan For a project that will revolutionize the way we look at drones, it will require a good size team. We will have Engineers - who will carry out any of the designs of this software. Network team - who will be in charge of the hardware, network and storage of Zipline’s Data. Project manager - who will oversee the needs of the projects and create deadlines and meetings to collaborate. Developers – who will be programming the hardware and software the network team provides. Developers are a huge part of the team because they are the ones who will actually be creating the DAA itself. Business Manager – the one who will oversee that the project is being funded. Lastly the most important group, Quality engineers – they will be testing the product to be sure the DAA is FAA approved at all times. I estimate we will need a total of 12 people to carry this project to glory. When I think of “Project Manager”, I think about all the different groups that need to come together to create an organized structure. We cannot achieve this without a project manager. The project manager is the glue to all groups during a project, they will schedule collaborations, they will make sure milestones are being reached, and they will provide the are not reached due to the lack of communication could doom us. A communication gap will lead this project to be very diverse. Another reason a project could result in failure is Unclear Objectives. Project Objectives should be specific with timelines so that a PM can keep track of the progression. Without clear objectives, it will be hard to keep each group aligned or even know if the project was successful or not. The last reason would be limited resources. There is always a fear that we will not have enough resources to get the job done. Having a lack of resources can delay a project or even bring it to a complete halt. This is why we will have a Business Manager and a Project Manager to ensure that we are planning ahead
