These can help any patients who are of school aged pediatric to stop worrying or feeling bad. A pediatric nurse can also use guided imagery or storytelling to assist the any school aged pediatric patient to calm down and feel better. Sometimes parents can also help by telling the school aged pediatric patient to imagine a safe, happy place or make up a narrative. Additionally, talking to the child about things that they’re familiar with, such as school, friends, or hobbies, may help them focus on something different while still feeling loved and encouraged. I think that when you le the child make simple choices, like which toy or activity to do, helps them become more independent and less anxious.
