Document Overview
Hello. Congratulations on your entry into the final Project & Practicum courses. I'm here to guide you through the nuances of this initial Project & Practicum course. NR702 is the Project & Practicum I course with the aim of guiding you through the design of your scholarly practice change project. You will formally design and author the project proposal using the DNP Project Manuscript Template, and this will serve as the guide for you to progress through the pre-screening process of the IRB in NR705 Project & Practicum II. The DNP practice change project plan that you design in this course will serve as your step-by-step guide for your project implementation in NR707 Project & Practicum III and for data analysis in the final practicum course NR709 Project & Practicum IV. In Week 1 of this first practicum course, your focus will be your practice question and the purpose of your practice change project. In Week 2, we will discuss the gap in practice. All eyes will be on the research supporting your selected intervention in Weeks 3 and 4 as you create your evidence synthesis. We turn our attention to your selected translation science model in Week 5, and, as you round the corner in our course, the emphasis will be on intervention fidelity as you create the formative evaluation process for your DNP practice change project. You have a wonderful opportunity to delve into peer review near the end of the course. Throughout this course, you will be using the DNP Project Manuscript Template to design your practice change project, working with your preceptor to develop a feasible design, and partnering with your faculty and student colleagues to discuss and edit your work. Through a sequence of three assignments and diligent editing, you will sharpen your skills in professional writing. The final outcome of this course is a detailed, clear, concise, and compelling project proposal to communicate to stakeholders, faculty, and the practicum site leaders. Through preparing, exploring, translating, and reflecting, you become well prepared for the next practicum course. I'm excited about how far you have come and the exciting journey you will take in this course. So let's get started!
