Evidence-Based Project, Part 1: Identifying Research Methodologies MS in Nursing - BSN-AGAC, Walden University NURS 6052: Essentials of Evidence-Based Practice September 17, 2023 © 2021 Walden University, LLC1 Introduction Common practice refers to the way things are typically done or procedures and processes that are widely accepted within a particular setting or situation, while best practice refers to the approach or method that scientific research has shown to be the most effective for achieving a particular outcome (Kleinpell et al., 2013). Although common practices can be accepted by many people, The best practices have proven to improve outcomes, and are based on research and evidence. The difference becomes more prominent with the use of clinical inquiry. “Clinical inquiry is the practice of asking questions about clinical practice” (Walden University, n.d.). To continuously enhance patient care, nurses should constantly use clinical inquiry to examine why a particular practice is being done that way (Walden University, n.d.). In this paper, the writer examined the clinical inquiry of “The implication of Electronic Health Record on the Improvement of Dialysis Patient Outcomes and Efficiencies.” This paper contains the identification and analysis of research methodologies of four peer reviewed articles related to the clinical inquiry to be discussed. © 2021 Walden University, LLC2 1143000362584Evidence-Based Project Matrix Worksheet Evidence-Based Project, Part 1: Identifying Research Methodologies Full citation of selected article Article #1 Sutton, P.
