Interrelationships Reflection HUMN 303 Introduction to Humanities Chamberlain University I chose Echo of Scream by David Alfaro Siqueiros completed in 1937. This Particular painting was produced on a enamel on wood medium. Before explaining how this painting will help my career and life I will give you a little details as to why I picked it. The reasoning I picked it is because of the fact that it's so out of the box. When you think of painting or when a lot of society thinks of paintings they think of something pretty and so angelic whereas this painting is so unsettling at times. The reason being there's a half dressed baby crying because of the harshness of the world around him. There's many things that are considered art obviously including this painting by David so to summarize the reason I picked this painting is because of the unease to the eyes to make a statement. The way this would definitely help my career and my life is to help not to judge people based off their appearance based off their past. In the line of work that I do I can't judge a patient that is using drugs for instance. If they're telling me they want to get clean should I believe them or should I look at their track record that they use every time they leave or should I give him that opportunity to help. Maybe this time will be the time or am I naive in thinking that. Someone can only be provided with the tools you cannot complete the task for them so providing this patient with the tools is one step closer to quitting. The painting created by David was in a time of war opening the eyes to everyone around that this affects more than just adults it affects children as well. I feel a lot of adults think that their actions don't have any impression on anyone's but themselves but they're wrong.
